No holes, tears, animal or smoke. Double knotted upon two foundation layers for extreme durability. Millions of individually hand tied knots, 150 per square inch per foundation layer or 300 effective kpsi. Good condition overall but one mentionable spot / blemish (picture 14 closeup). Only buy if ok, discounted. Background is a nuanced red/purple tone darker and lighter tones from natural dye oxidation over the century, a beautiful affect called 'abrash' by curators and collectors. Old world dye techniques unmatched today. Accents including indigo blue, cream, earth tones and more! A lifetime quality item. Natural vegetable dyes from pomegranate, beet, madder root, indigo, lilac, hyacinth, weld, larkspur, and more! See all images!”
