    OK, so everyone wants a MITUTOYO (my favorite) or a STARRETT piece of equipment. The EMPIRE level is very much COMPARABLE quality, at a far lower price. I have a 6-inch and a 12-inch (ordered together) . . . nice, easy to read, durable. You won't go wrong with this choice.
