With five giant streamers under his control, King Olly binds Princess Peach's Castle and transports it to a distant mountain as part of his plan to re-fold the world. On his journey to liberate Peach's Castle and repair the ravaged paper landscape, Mario meets Olivia, King Olly's sister, and the two join forces to put a stop to Olly's origami onslaught. Even Bowser falls victim to Olly's plot when his minions are turned into origami Folded Soldiers and betray their Koopa king, forcing him to ally with Mario and Olivia! Battle the Folded Soldiers in ring-based battles that challenge you to strategically line up enemies to maximize damage! Out of battle, Mario can use the arm-extending 1,000-Fold Arms ability in specific spots to interact with the landscape to pull, peel, hit, and more!       It's just. Such a good game.

      I'd never played a Paper Mario title before this but got inspired to try after seeing the release trailer for this same coupled with the quick-to-praise post-release reviews. I've watched Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door speedruns done on GDQ for a few years which made the series look fun and compelling story-wise, but I was delighted to find that the gameplay is so enjoyable as well. The entire region and environments are bright and colorful, full of imagination and crafts. I previously played Yoshi's Crafted World and adored it, so anyone who played that will likely love this for the same aesthetic. I really can't praise it enough.

      Paper Mario and the Origami King, a fantastic play

      The game is extremely fun once you get past the initial areas and the story was compelling as heck to go through. With so many things to collect, the amazing soundtrack, a really awesome spin on boss battling and fighting normal enemies, the origami king deserves a lot more attention than it has been getting due to being compared to the thousand year door.

      Try this if you loved the classic Paper Mario games!

      I want to make up a decent-sized library of games for my Switch Lite, and Origami King is on my list. Growing up, I loved the first 3 Paper Mario games but got disappointed when I learned how Sticker Star turned out. I figured that Origami King would recapture the charm that the first games had, and it seems like it (Even though I'm less than an hour in as of this writing ^^;). I would also like to thank the seller for offering this game at the best price possible, as the only eBay cards I can easily obtain max out at $200.

      Great game great price

      I have love paper Mario since I first started with paper Mario and the thousand year door which to this day is a great game. The origami king is a great game and visually very colorful and typical of the series I picked it up here complete for $27 hard to beat that so if your on the fence I say buy it you cannot go wrong

      Beautiful game

      Great game, though still prefer the original N64 version. This is less of a true RPG as there is no leveling up, but battle is still compelling and the world & story are a lot of fun. Having a blast playing through this with my 8YO son.
