The use of aspherical elements in the Canon FD 50mm F/1.2 L Lens eliminates the flare and ghosting that can be a problem in lenses with large maximum apertures. Use of the Floating System helps to maintain image quality from infinity to 0.5 meters. Contrast and other factors important in image quality improve when using the lens at full aperture. Considered compact, the lens' total weight is only 380 grams. This fast lens works well on older, film-based Canon cameras or with digital Canon cameras with the help of an adapter. Even in low light, this lens can produce very sharp images that are worthy of entrance into a photo contest.

    Fast shipping and great packaging. Item looked in good shape with few signs of wear and tear. But unfortunately it did not work. I tried several batteries, differnent cameras and the microphone did not work. I'm not returning it because I have a friend that may be able to fix it. Also, I accidentally cut into the leather box containing the mic, so yea not sending back. I appreciate the seller having it as it got me to look further into xlr mics.

    Vintage glass for the win

    I personally love shooting with vintage glass for both photo and video. Having the aperture on the barrel of the lens makes things much quicker when adjusting exposure. The 180° focus pull is great for video When you really need to nail that focus. Another thing is how small and compact this lenses is versus anything you can buy nowadays. Great for traveling when you need to keep things compacting and light.

    Love it! The 50mm Canon f1.2

    I love this lens! It perfectly pops out objects in your frame with such a narrow depth of focus. It's almost like using my 4x5 view camera in the character for portraits. Plus, my kids love bats, and even in the dim light this is picking up images fine - particularly when coupled with a speed-boost/lens reducer and a monochrome converted APS-C body - truly lovely.

    My new favorite lens

    The canon 50mm f/1.2 L USM is my new favorite lens. The sharpness is astounding & the low-lighy capabilities are breathtaking. Upgrading from non L-series lenses, I'm happy this was my first. Couldn't be happier with the photo quality.
