    Disassembly and assembly required. Definitely a "kit" as described.

    This is definitely a "kit". Use caution after removing the halogen bulbs that are pre installed and while trying to work the rubber boots onto the leds. Super glue is helpful if they break loose from the housing, ugh. Electrical tape will also be needed, as the adapter plugs don't fully seat into the electrical connectors? Not sure why 1 oddball adapter is included for a different application? I haven't installed yet, but imagine return is not an option once you start the process of changing the bulbs and the new ones break. Unfortunately the boots are absolutely necessary for offroading, but are an extremely tight fit. Good luck.
