It perfectly replaced the paper filter pump I had. It only took a few minutes to fill and put together. After that, it was just set the timer and go. It doesn't move a ton of water, but does pump as much as the paper filter, so I'm fine with that. The timer also is only able to run for 12 hours max in a 24 hr period. You can set it for 1-12 hours, but nothing like 4 on and 4 off, type thing.

It’s not the same as with cartridge filter pump I checked the outflow rate and this sand filter is slower than the cartridge filter. I have a 3800 gallon pool so this should have been an upgrade from my cartridge filter. I recommend if you wanna upgrade to a sand filter to use your waterfall sprinkler or other
