    The typewriter arrived today. Everything in the carriage was loose and fallen out inside the box due to shipping. Fortunately I was able to put parts back in place. After that it does work as described and is a great value but the broken knob was missing (on any typewriter please lock the carriage when shipping somehow with styrofoam or banding so it can not move). Still a good rating as this was for parts or repair of another machine. Good packing helps.

    Thank you for the good rating despite the packing. I have to say I will never get another one of these. I had never shipped a typewriter before and was not really sure how to secure everything inside. I was praying it would get there safe and work. Again thank you for the purchase and rating.
