    A very fine slicer with just one reservation.

    Overall, for the money, a very nice machine. It is especially functional for slicing cooked meat and bread. However, it does not do as well cutting cheeses, especially those like gouda that have some tendency to adhere to the metal. Moist hams, dry breads do best. In addition, cutting meats like turkey and chicken are easily accomplished, as well as cutting chunks of meats like bologna and summer sausage. I encourage you to buy the stainless steel version, and not the plastic models, as there is less flex, and the steel will be more durable. Cleaning is a snap: A twist of the central blade knob counterclockwise half turn and the blade pops right off.     Buy cheap get cheap made

    The back fence that meat rides against blends as you slide your meat through the blade having you an uneven cut . the motor boggs down when the meat is drawn across the blade . the whole thing has plastic every where . I'll be looking for a commercial meat if this is all you get for $80 bucks . total waist of money

    Best kitchen appliance I ever purchased.. Make sure to get the 7 1/2 inch.. From deli thin to over 1/2 inch it does roasts, hams, breads with ease.. Fairly easy clean-up too !!
