It has no armor or armor inserts, as it's simply an LBV, but it comes with a lot of rifle mag pouches that are designed in a similar manner to the ALICE M16 pouches that can fit 3 5.56 STANAG mags each. It also has a large hydration pouch on the back. The vest itself is very comfortable to wear and has padding on the shoulder portions, and is made of what appears to be high density nylon (>600D).
