Most fuses will take 15 volts times the amperage, but 15 volts times 8 amps is only 120 watts. You need at least a 15-amp fuse to use this. You can always wire direct from a hot terminal and add an inline fuse to get around this. I will save mine for my VW Karmann Ghia, which produces almost no heat of its own.
