    Uses safe plastic! Goodbye Breville!

    I bought this to replace my Breville scoop/tamper that uses a safety plastic #7, which is tricky because it stands for “other”, which means it may or may not contain BPA. This Krups scoop/tamper on the other hand, uses a safety plastic #5, which is deemed safe as a Polypropylene (PP); a thermoplastic polymer. While I take these recommendations with a grain of salt, (as I do not like to use plastic in general) a considered “safe plastic” gives me a whole lot more confidence than one that is up in the air, that may or not be safe. While this was the main reason why I bought this product, the product itself does its job. It is strong plastic and cannot easily break. The only difference that I’ve noticed between this and the Breville scoop/tamper is that this scoop seems to be a tad bit ...
