    Antenna in question and still to soon to tell.

    It is immediately apparent between radios the received and transmit audio quality is very good. Which is very encouraging as an indicator of the build quality of the handheld transceiver itself. These transceivers absolutely definitely require another higher quality and performance antenna. The supplied antenna is far to rigid with insufficient flexibility rather poorly loaded and very short. This will place unnecessary strain on the case antenna connector when there is a lot of activity. The supplied antenna is poorly designed, failing to perform well, limiting the range of coverage. These transceivers really need a much longer and better loaded resonant antenna. Variations with lengths of 50cm - 75cm - 100cm are required and would improve the range of coverage.     I just used it about 2 weeks and my coworkers can’t hear me from 30 ft away. After that , battery power does not work. I’m waiting for a replacement. Next time I’m going with a cobra 🐍 brand. UNHAPPY 😞.

    Small but powerful, easy to use in the wooded mountains

    I purchased 2 of these hand helds, one for myself & one for my neighbor. We are both retired and live 1/2 mile back a dead end dirt road in a holler surrounded by 4 mountains & we venture up into the woods quite often. We like the radios because they are small, and the antennas can be removed to attach a mag mount while in the side by side or used as a base station with a CB antenna outside on the roof. The radios are durable & the batterires last a fairly long time. We will be getting ni-cads for them this spring, another nice plus, As much as we use them, we haven't found anything bad about them. Nice product.

    Just got it in the mail today. So far good. Wish I could say the same for my bear cat in my truck. Think my Mic went bad sounds crystal clear talking through the hand held to my cb in the truck but talking back nothing but static. On the bear cat end. Happy with the hand held. Not as huge as I though it was gonna be and it's mobile. Hopefully it has a decent range. Bout 10" tall with the antenna. Feels pretty sturdy too. Doesn't feel cheap. And when the batteries are in it. 9 AA batteries have some weight. Just wish it came with a belt clip. That's extra is what the book says. Most likely will buy another after a good test goes through with this one.

    decent handheld

    A good basic handheld CB to start out. Priced accordingly. With an upgraded telescoping antenna I can reach a fair distance and with a BNC-to-PL259 adaptor (for an antenna) I can install it as a makeshift mobile rig.
