The motherboard inside was like new, only evidence of use was dust on some of the muffin fan blades. I have not yet turned it on (awaiting a DVD drive to add to the system before powering up). Seems to be a good value. I have always had good luck with Dell products. Looking forward to making this my main machine replacing my old (14 years old) Dell desktop
