      Great multi-purpose Chopping knife

      As a survival instructor and gear reviewer, I have been interested in testing One-Tool-Options for creating and thriving in the wild. I have thoroughly tested this knife for chopping, splitting, batonning (although I'm far from an advocate of that technique, I feel confident with that one tool) and finer tasks. - Comes Crazy sharp - Well though handle, won't slip, no lanyard needed - Chops and splits well up to very decent diameters of wood - the hook on the handle may interfere with the pinkie finger if you rest it in the bottom of the hook while chopping with the blade. - handle unsing the finger choil when choking on the blade wasn't the best position to carve and whittle wood for finer tasks, but it worked well anyway. - Best used with a companion smaller blade, but outstanding by ...

      Mfg. redesigning knife with out consent

      I think is a shame that this knife is sold with the knowledge it was made incorrectly! but that's big businesses knowing they will not be held accountable. I thought maybe by now it would have been corrected and I would get a knife designed by Chris Tanner like the blade is marked How about a recall, rebate or a discount on a real SCHF43 A sign of good faith that BTI TOOLS is a company that stands behind their product. It is a manufacturing flaw. to use a hollow grind and mark it as designed by Chris Tanner. When his design was the heavier saber grind. a stronger superior grind to handle the abuse it was intended for

      It is a lot bigger than i thought, but i love it!!! Big versatile nasty fun knife(?)machete? Definitely for camping/mountains,etc... hold down by hook and its kukri, near blade is bowie,great feel to grips, solid item. Great price.

      Worth Buying

      This is a heavy well made knife. I used it to chop through multiple logs, and it performed well with no damage. It's not light, but the weight helps with chopping branches. The blade came with a sharp edge, and the fit and finish on this knife is quite good. I bought this for less than $40, good bargain!
