    A very affordable basic 50mm lens that makes an impression !

    I needed a basic 50mm lens for my Canon 5D Mark IV and did not want to spend so much on a Red Line L lens from Canon, or the other manufacturerer. I ended up trying this lens. The unit works well with portrait photograpy also does well with blurring the background. When with Canon set focus point to center and use P mode vs A mode. The lens does take time to hunt for focus if you dont set to P. To all who read this remember you are purchasing a lens under th $100 mark, you have paid for a basic lens that will perform as it was designed. The optics are fine on this unit and for what it is designed for IT WORKS PERFECTLY !!! It is worth it.

    Great value, but have auto-focus issues when focus needs to move from infinity to macro.

    Pros: Great color and sharpness. Solid built. Cons: Auto-focus from far to near sometimes doesn't seem to work and doesn't auto focus until you put it into manual, focus closer, then back to auto. (tested with Canon 7d).
