    Great filters!

    I have used many expensive filters and there is no difference between the Vivitar MC Series 1 and filters costing much more. These come in a handy filter pack that makes the old style plastic screw together cases obsolete. The pack is flexible and allows the filters to be stored in many camera bags with enough space. I have many sets of these and the images are tack sharp in CP, UV, SKY, NDs, and more. A best buy from a manufacturer who has made a distinct name in photography.

    These filters are great!

    Vivitar has done something to their filters over the years. They use to be thick and bulky but now they are ultra thin glass. Possibly Scotch glass but I'm not 100% sure. I have Heliopan filters but these are sharper because they are so thin. They are also coated. I own several sets of these from 43mm through 82mm. ND filters are rated accurately and not overly warm. The polarizers are fairly mild and not overpowering. They reduce glare without a big dark spot. Well worth every penny even if they were 3 times the price.

    The price of the filters indicates its quality. They are good for the beginning photography student honing his/her skills. Serious photographers are obliged to invest much more for quality optics.
