For example on a 2001 Ford F150 the OEM ball joints cannot be removed with this press because the OEM ball joints are too wide and the edge seats flush with the edge of the control arm, so there is nothing for the press to push against to extract it (big hammer solved that ). Moog after market ball joints would work though. Installation was flawless.
