The SBSK Harris Stay Brite liquid flux and solder kit is easy to weld and conducts electricity better than ordinary solder. This product is vibration resistant, can stretch easily under high pressure, and does not break under constant pressure. The silver solder is environmentally friendly and melts and runs at 430F. This Stay Brite package comes with a 1/2oz bottle of flux and 1/2oz of coiled silver solder.

    Good Stuff

    I have used this (and other) stay brite products for many years and have always been satisfied with the results. Most of my applications involve modeling such as model railroading where brass work may require the extra strength of a silver bearing solder. Here, a little goes a long way. I always use a small artists brush to apply the flux.

    Works Great!

    It worked really well for soldering 1/4” and 3/16” stainless rod. I suspect that it will also work as well for thicker metal, but you might need to use an acetylene/ oxygen torch. I used a hand held torch with a propane bottle and later a yellow mapp tank. Both worked extremely well.

    Have used this solder for years, works on nickel silver silver brass bronze stainless steel and mild steel., it is around 300 degree solder.

    Good stuff

    This a very good solder for extra strength. It has a higher melt temp.so it takes a heaver iron than electrical solder. The flux is an acid flux and will cause rust if it is not cleaned.
