The previous owner of my 96 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l w/ 46RE trans installed the wrong TCC Solenoid. The one they had on it used the 4th gen temp sensor which isn’t backwards compatible. All 96 rams should have the 46RE with either the 2nd or 3rd gen temp sensor. So my transmission temp light has been on and I’ve had issue with trans since. This fixed all of those issues and so much more. Better shift engagement better shifts, more torque etc!
