      Not PAF sounding not P90 sounding

      It's like a super hot tele pup with an aggressive bark. Wire it 50's style and you can tame that bark to a glassy clean Tele bridge sound. I'd say this is perfect for the single pickup esquire tele builds that need more flexibility to venture into a high gain sound without the 60 cycle hum of a standard single coil.

      Area T Hot

      Still can twang but also growl. Super quiet but I had to run a ground wire from bottom of bridge to tone pot, as there is no copper base plate on this pu. I dig it, especially when used with an od pedal.

      It's a keeper

      I like hot pickups , My '57 Tele had an aftermarket pickup already , but it was pretty tame . This Hot T gives me the tone I was seeking , it's overdriven but not too much . Through my Laney VC 15 it sounds so full and yet you can hear every string clearly when I strum a chord . With an od pedal it just comes alive . I've tried many other pickups on my other Teles/ Esquires but this one stands out in the crowd .
