  • Update of a Classic

This book was a hit both critically and commercially when it was first released in 1988. It covers a great deal of territory to just the required depth, and Norman does a great job of tying it all together. It's interesting reading if you have a casual interest in design, what works and what doesn't. It's indispensable if you're involved in design (computer software in my case) as it provides a context for your work. By far the best book of its type.
