    Great bang for buck !

    I had a A580 which I loved but I had been after an A77 for a good while - Prices now are so low that it would be rude not to ! This is a solid no nonsense serious piece of kit - it's packed with features to numerous to list. It feels solid in hand but not too heavy to carry all day. A superb electronic viewfinder to compliment the versatile bright 920k LCD which twists and turns every which way. You can shoot in 24,12 and 6mp modes and the video produced on the 77v is superb. I can't believe I was able to obtain a near mint camera of this calibre for £260 on Ebay with less than 6k shutter count. It's a complete all rounder , great for sports , landscape and just about anything. With stacks of Sony and Minolta lenses available it's a no brainer - one of the best aps-c cameras out there ...

    LCD FAILED

    LCD screen completely failed just over 3 months after purchase. Which makes the camera very difficult to use for much of my outdoor macro photography. Seller provided no assistance and I'm stuck with it and the repair costs as it's past the 30 days.

    great bit of Kit

    Bought this camera as an upgrade for my existing Sony camera. It has some great new (to me) features very easy to use...despite the user manual being over 200 pages long (it's very comprehensive) Was very impressed with my first lot of photos. I'm going to enjoy this camera.

    a77 - an a33 on steroids

    I upgraded from an a33. The a77 is all better in every aspect of performance. It is slightly bigger and 200gms heavier that the a33 body which you do notice immediately. I mostly use an 18-250mm lens and with this fitted the increase in weight is much less noticeable. It still fits in my camera bag. The camera's abilities now greatly exceed my own.

    Nice bit of kit.

    This is a very nice solid bit of kit far better than the mostly plastic newer cameras. Like everything about it, only down side if you are photographing a ceremony wedding ect. where you are taking a good few images a battery grip would help or carry extra batteries as power gets used quick, less than two hundred shots.
