    Yes distributors wear out after 70 years. Put one of these on and save yourself a ton of grief.

    very nice product, well built and better than oem part in my opinion. points on my unit were set at proper gap, all I did was set static timing and bolt it on. The old girl is purring like a kitten again.

    6v distributor.

    The part was 6v. and needed to be converted to a 12v. however, I already knew this. The distributor is exactly what I expected, and am satisfied with my purchase. Before you order the 12v. conversion kit, you will need to open your distributor for the exact part number of your 6v. distributor or your 12v kit may not work properly.

    Ford 2n

    I changed the points, condenser, rotor, cap and coil and did not get any spark. After I installed this distributor the tractor started fine. I'm still not sure why it would not start with all the new parts I installed, but would not waste the time installing separate parts. If the distributor is old and the non functioning part is not obvious (burnt points) purchasing this complete distributor will save time and money.
