    Identical to factory part

    Our top-of-the-line GE Cafe induction range didn't come with the meat probe! GE wants over $100 for the official part. There seem to be two different part numbers in use for various GE ranges. This is a stainless probe with silicone grip and cord. It looks identical to the factory part, probably because it is! GE wants over $100 for the same thing. When I plugged this one into the port, the range picked it up right away. My wife cooked a roast with it to 140 degrees, and it came out exactly as expected, so it seems to be accurate!

    Just what I was looking for!

    I moved into a place with an older GE Profile convection oven that was missing its probe. The probe that came with the oven was discontinued, but I took the chance at this item because GE listed it as its replacement, even though it doesn’t screw into the oven like the old one. It paid off, because it works great! I wish it were longer, but I’ll take it!

    Works well for the purpose I intended

    This product seems to be well made and functions well in my GE microwave to measure the temperature of my coffee. Since it was not made for this purpose the temperature that it sees is about 10 degrees higher than the original sensor which failed. No problem, I just set my desired temperature 10 degrees higher. I would like to be able to comment on the longevity of this item as the sensor which failed lasted about 10 years. If this one does not, I will be disappointed.

    Perfect Replacement

    This replacement part was available from an online replacement parts web site for about $185 because they assume no one will be able to find it anywhere else. I bought it here, new in plastic wrap, for about 15% of that. It arrived promptly in perfect condition. Works perfectly. Could not be happier.
