Mine came with one of the handles dented , which bent the side of the furnace slightly. This doesn't affect performance. The box and styrofoam were in perfect condition which means this happened pre packaging. The gas hose is only about 3 feet. There is no world where I would use a furnace that close to a propane tank. I bought a 12 foot hose. My other furnace, which was cheaper, came with a 6 foot hose. You have to buy refractory also.
