    Yikes, When My Store Stopped Carrying It !

    Living in a rural area in the foot-hills of NC, I knew when my store no longer carried the product, I'd have to drive a minimum of 35 miles, roundtrip, to the next closest place--my own store being already a roundtrip of about 20 miles, and for only one product I didn't take kindly to it, so afterward, my well-water continued to make rust around the bowl of the toilet, until I had the great idea to check on eBay, and to my surprise there it was, the best product for rust stains ever, Iron Out, (Powdered Form) which I sprinkle directly into the bowl, rather than the tank, since each flush uses full tank anyway, but I do love this product, and it saves a lot of scrubbing, Woo-hoo !

    1/4 Cup in Salt Tank Keeps Barrel Clean

    As prescribed by my water softener rental company, we use 1/4 Cup of Iron Out sprinkled in between each bag of salt. This is to keep the salt barrel from getting iron buildup AND helps keep rust from commodes, etc. They told me this works just as well as if we used salt with the rust remover in it. I checked online to see the price difference between Lowe's and what I paid (right now the price here online is $17.11). The price at Lowe's online is $16. Buying online saves me at least one hour of time as our nearest box store is 20 miles away. Our local grocery has the same size Iron Out and their price is about the same. SO delivered to my door for a mere $1.11 more?! Heck, who can complain about that?!

    Great Product ... Iron Out

    The product is very effective at keeping away Iron/rust stains in the toilet, since I use well-water in the foothills of NC. I just sprinkle it into the flushed toilet water, instead of wasting it all in the Tank, but the choice is good either way, I'm sure. I pay the extra cost of the embedded shipping fee in the price to avoid driving ~20 miles to & 'fro to drive for it. And I prefer the powder, more-so than the packets, which allows me to use the amount I desire. Super Product.

    SUPER IRON OUT HAS SUPER INGREDIENT

    Althouh it may show up as different nomenclature on the bottle, SIO (as opposed to just plain old IO), has an ingredient called sodium dithionite. This compound, in a buffered solution, is what makes SIO REALLY work well cleaning the mineral specimens that I clean and sell in my shop.

    Rust stains easily removed!

    Have a small "cabin in the woods" and water is very hard and full of minerals including iron, commode is always an orange stained color in tank and bowl, Iron Out easily cleans out the staining. Definitely recommend.
