Seller confirmed it is not. Seller offer a partial refund to keep the item. They were advised by me to correct their listing, twice. The said they would and today, 2 months later, it still indicates it it explosion proof. It is a solid item but does not match the listing description. Good for general air evacuation.

In the box was a customer service telephone number. Called and explained my problem. It was suggested that I send some pictures with a detailed description. I was sent an email and replied back. It took a couple of days and I received a reply with a solution. I was satisfied and accepted. The seller earned a + review for solving this quickly.
