    A great way to help young children to develop a desire and love of reading that will last a lifetime.

    My mother bought Young Years for us as children, I bought it for my children, and now, I was grateful to find it so that I could buy it for my Grandson. Reading is fundamental and as I heard a comedian state, "fun to mental". I'm 62 now and receiving this book as a child is one of my fondest memories. Rainy days and restriction went by virtually unnoticed thanks to Young Years and the many, many, well-written stories. The best thing, the stories are all in one book and so one can curl up with Young Years, a blanket, and a snack and be entertained for hours on end! I've made Young Years a tradition for every child born to our family. Three generations and counting. I was one of 5 and so could not rightfully claim the book when I moved away from home.     I remember my mother reading these stories to me, when I was a child. One day I decided to look for this book, and found it online in excellent condition. Very good, for keeping youngsters entertained. The children will ask you every night to read a story from this book.

    Very pleased with purchase

    I had this book as a child and was very happy to find one in such good condition. Every other version I've seen offered has been marked up in some way, as old children's books generally are. As far as I can tell this one is completely clean and just has the usual wear one expects from age. It's a wondeful collection of poems, nursery rhymes, and fairy tales, though I would caution that the illustrations are limited in color (probably for economical reasons).
