    Great cameras but don't get solar charging if you want the camera to recognize sounds as events

    I have the older wired version of the nest cam, which is what I would have purchased again if they still made them. I originally got solar panels because I'm not the kind of person to remember to take these down and charge them, but then I found out some features don't work with solar. Namely responding to sounds. Now I have plug in cords On the way. I want my cameras to recognize when my dogs bark. I wish that had been made more clear, I've done a lot of research on these cameras including on Google's website, and never read anything about that. I would have skipped the solar panels in the first place had I known.

    Very good wireless outdoor surveillance camera

    One of he best features of this camera is that is doesn't miss any movement. I have other brands that take several seconds to begin recording after noticing movement and end up missing what actually triggered the camera. The Google Nest Cam captures it all! The daytime image quality and sound recording is quite good. The night time image quality could be a little better but is good (that would be my only complaint). The connection to wifi is good and strong and very responsive.

    Would buy again.

    The camera seem to work fine. The price was comparable to other cameras that do the same thing. Went ahead and bought the anti theft cables for them mostly so they don’t get knocked off. Easy install and fairly easy set up with google home.

    Best Camera out there

    I currently have 7 Nest Cameras, and have used my footage twice to assist the Local Police, as they were looking for 1 suspect and my footage was able to pick up another. The clarity and zoom feeatures are above the cheaper cameras. You get what you pay for. The only draw back is everything goes through my Smart Phone, and not the Desk Top as my older 4 Nest Cameras are, which I would really like as I am not a "Phone" person. With the battery and wireless set up, I could do it myself, the wired cameras I needed installed by an Electrician.
