The handling is definitely a factor and I can't guarantee the breakage wasn't a result of negligence on the part of the shipping process but 4 of the 12 stems came broken. All of the bowls were intact and everything was bubble wrapped but kind of loosely thrown in a box so I'm not thrilled about that aspect but it happens and I'm sure the shippers don't always use the utmost care but I certainly would be happier if everything came intact.
