      Illustrated Magazine

      If you enjoy the history of the art of illustration you will love this magazine. It has high production values: fine paper, wonderful layout and design, and beautiful reproductions of art by the most famous, and sometimes not, American illustrators. Interesting stories about the artists, their subject matter, and the books and magazines that featured their work. Each issue is a "keeper." I have the entire run of the magazine in my collection. If you love the art of illustration you must get this magazine.

      Best Biography and Review of Illustrator Andrew Loomis Work and Writings

      A wonderful bio and review of his books. Loomis seems to have been neglected since the 20th century but his books on drawing are just as useful as ever. He breaks away from the Bridgman and Hogarth methods to create his own. Very informative and a must for anyone interested in illustration, either amateur or professional. Illustrator and comic book artist Steve Rude was an avid admirer.
