The Pioneer DV-563A is a universal DVD player that plays DVD-Video discs as well as Super Audio CDs and DVD-Audio discs. This Pioneer DVD player also offers playback for DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, and CD-RW formats. Additionally, this universal DVD player can supports MP3-encoded CD formats. This Pioneer DVD player is designed with enhanced audio in mind, offering SRS TruSurround and Dolby Digital surround sound decoding, allowing this unit to function well in a home theater system. Connections available on the Pioneer DVD player include S-Video, optical, and composite, which allows the device to connect directly to a number of different home theater components. Extra features of the Pioneer DV-563A are a zoom control, a standby function that reduces power consumption, and a frame-by-frame slow motion playback option. The universal DVD player measures 16.5 inches wide, 2.2 inches tall, and 11.1 inches deep with a weight of 5 lbs and 3 oz.
