Pretty much each piece was bubble wrapped and fit into another and that was then bubble wrapped again. All extra space was stuffed with bubble wrap or brown paper. There was NO WAY anything could have possibly broken! This was a used item that we have been searching for a long time - with all the pieces and this exact model. It was CLEAN and all little booboo's were shown in the pictures - no hidden surprises. SO Happy!
