    Best cold weather liquid fuel stove made.

    I have been using a whisperlite stove since 1995 as a backcountry fishing guide. It has gone through several updates over the last 25+ years and each one has improved upon its predecessor. This version has gone slightly lighter and improved stability. The pump has seen improvements over the years too such as replacing the leather pump cup for synthetic which requires less maintenance. Speaking of maintenance if you perform the Annual Service as outlined in the instructions, which is super easy and intuitive, you will have a bombproof stove that will last a lifetime. What I like about this stove is ease of use. It will simmer with low pressure in the fuel bottle. It will boil water with ease. It melts snow without having to watch it every second.
