Synopsis
In this stirring novel of the Old West from New York Times bestselling author Catherine Anderson, a desperate woman's impulsive ruse brings a rough-looking stranger into her life... To support her orphaned niece, impoverished Brianna O'Keefe accepts work with a Colorado rancher. To guard herself from unwanted attention, she resorts to a harmless little lie: that she's married to a Denver gold miner named David Paxton. When her boss forces her to write her "husband," hoping he'll take Brianna off his hands, she can only pray that no real David Paxton exists who can expose her. When Colorado marshal David Paxton gets a letter from a stranger claiming to be his wife, and pleading with him to come for her and his "daughter," he dutifully sets out to find this woman and the child he may have sired. What stuns Brianna is that David is convinced the young girl could, in fact, be his. As David and Brianna's wary attraction blossoms into a deeper desire, David warms to the idea of a ready-made family. But can his dream survive Brianna's lingering distrust...and his own heart-held secrets?, In this stirring novel of the Old West from New York Times bestselling author Catherine Anderson, a desperate woman's impulsive ruse brings a rough-looking stranger into her life... I have purchased from them many times. This time, and on occasion I have had an issue with the product, but the seller is graceful about correcting errors. They do a huge volume and sometimes have sent the wrong book or one of their multiples that does not match the description. With swift communication, the seller always resolves the issue. The shipping speed & packaging is excellent. I will continue buying from this seller!

  • A Marshall, a Seamtress and a Child

Marshall David Paxton receives letters from a lady and child he has never heard from before. In his earlier years David had some wild times and could not swear he had not spread his seed around. He could not remember having relations with Brianna and producing a child. After meeting the lady and child he is convinced the child is his. Nothing the lady tells him makes any difference. He is determined to take his child home and the lady too if she will come. The story is very interesting and entertaining. Highly recommended.+++++++++
