I'll be using this for wrapping grips on fishing rods, and this size appears to be optimal: the better looks of a smaller diameter line, lower abbrasiveness of a larger diameter line. Tarred twine is, to my hands, better at communicating bites and bumps than Cork and EVA. Far cheaper than Cork, comparable to or cheaper than EVA. More durable, and far easier to replace
