      Great Yamaha receiver

      I own several Yamaha receivers, both old and new. This one is excellent, like all of mine. Great for home entertainment center/surround sound, and for music listening. No Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on this one, but it has a RJ45 network port, and you can get any Bluetooth receiver and plug it into either the standard audio inputs, or you can get one with a digital coaxial output. You can also just plug in a usb thumb drive or your phone to the front inputs. It has Apple airplay, but I'm an android person. If you need HDCP 2.2 for 4k content, you'll need a newer model, or get a HDCP 2.2 hdmi splitter, which will allow your Roku or other device to send 4k content. Splitter goes between the device and the receiver if you go that route. There's help for this on the internet.

      Ok as long as the HDMI on the motherboard doesn't go south.

      The main problem with these is the motherboard, specifically the HDMI output that dies. Look thru the ads and you should see ones either w/o this board or a dread HDMI output which basically makes this almost worthless. These surely are not the Yamaha of the 70's & 80's.
