This knife is for thrusting, and to some degree for slashing, but it is not for hacking because it’s very lightweight. The rubber grip gives an excellent hold on the knife and the sheath holds it securely. it’s not a survival knife. I don’t think it will hold up to heavy cutting of wood and other materials, but for a knife used to attack or defend its size, edge and geometry are very good.
