Just what I needed!
As a long draw archer (30.5"), I struggle with arrow choices currently on the market. I've been a long time user of Easton products and until recently ran a 5mm FMJ .300 cut short (tip sits in bow shelf at full draw) to maintain a good spine and an optimal total arrow weight for large western game (~500 gr), however my F.O.C. remained in the single digits. With the introduction of these Titanium outserts for the 4mm injexion line up, it was just what I needed to run a slightly stiffer arrow (.280 4mm FMJ). With the added benefit of the 55 gr outserts up front, I now have an arrow that meets optimal spine, has 13% F.O.C. and is within 25 gr of my older 5mm configuration. These paired with the 4mm FMJ fly like darts! One is essentially able to cut there arrow 1" shorter if they are border ... One is essentially able to cut there arrow 1" shorter if they are border line on spine with these outserts as the exposed barrel from shaft end to point is approx. 1" ex: my 5mm FMJ with HIT inserts is cut at 29-1/4" (raw shaft), with these outserts on the 4mm shaft I'm cutting them @ 28-5/8" (raw shaft) + the 1" outsert puts my total arrow length at 29-5/8". The pictures below show the standard 5mm FMJ .300 in both the black diamond plate and the limited edition XX75 camo pattern next to the .280 4mm FMJ Injexion w/ 55gr Titanium Outsert, note the shorter shaft cut to yield the same overall length with the length of the outsert (shorter raw shaft length = stiffer spine can add weight to front and bring F.O.C. up) Total arrow weights of the 5mm builds = 510 gr, total arrow weights of the 4mm build with Titanium outsert = 530 gr.
