      good show, one issue

      liked this show when first on and still do. enjoyable show, many exteriors filmed on location in Jackson Hole, beautiful area and location filming always an asset. very enjoyable to watch as far as show itself is concerned. problem is not fault of show or video per se, fault lies in fact not all film masters are well taken care of and these certainly were not. film degrades if not properly stored and these look as if masters were keep under someone's bed. daylight scenes are not too bad but low light scenes are very poor. but show still fun to watch and, as far as I know, this video is the only game in town.

      The Monroes

      Hard to believe this series lasted just one season. Main reason - poor timing! TV Westerns waned sharply in popularity in 1966 and 1967, even the established ones. Not at all a low-budget venture, it was filmed in color mostly on location in the Teton Mountains park. Development of relationships between regular and occasional characters from episode to episode proved significant in many plots and scripts - until final 4 episodes, when I guess CBS knew it would not be renewed. Ahead of its time "The Monroes" foreshadowed the family western dramas of the '70's and '80's. Exec. William Self had it right, except for the timing.

      Trouble around every corner

      Awesome, love old shows and this is a lot of adventure for these young kids, dealing with one tragic thing after another , I do wish they would have one episode where nothing but good happened . I guess when your trying to make it back then in the wilderness theres gona be trouble around every corner and there is.
