    Limited 18 vinyl LP box set. The Vinyl Collection box set features all of George Harrison's solo studio albums in one collection for the first time to commemorate the musician's birthday. The vinyl box set includes all twelve of George's studio albums with exact replicas of the original release track listing and artwork. Also included in the box set are George's classic live album Live In Japan (2LP), and two 12' single picture discs of 'When We Was Fab' and 'I Got My Mind Set On You.' All the discs are 180-gram heavyweight vinyl and are housed in a high-quality two-piece rigid slipcase box. The original analogue master tapes were used for the new remasters and were cut at the legendary Capitol studios to ensure exceptional audio quality throughout.

        George Harrison - The Vinyl Collection

        The new George Harrison Vinyl Box set is a beautiful item. It comes in a lovely package and the albums are perfect reproductions of the original LPs. Extra Texture, for example, is packaged in the original, die cut cover and inside is the great picture sleeve of George that holds the record itself. The set has all the markings of a true labor of love by George's family with no expense spared. The albums themselves sound fantastic and are sourced from the original master tapes. This is in stark contrast to the recent John Lennon LP box set that was mastered from digital files. The box set is relatively expensive, but considering the packaging, re-mastering and true analog sourcing, I think it's well worth the price.
