Tested the bulb, played several movies -- picture, focus, and sound were excellent. Did not test the recording on film capability. SEE THE VIDEO. Does not come with a box but it does have a photocopied version of the instruction booklet. Has all the control knobs which are frequently lost (the pictures show one missing but I found it). Like most of these, the tabs that held them in place are gone so they can pop off easily -- just be careful not to lose them. Also, like every one I have ever seen, the 18 fps and the 24 fps speeds are spot-on, but the variable dial between the two just seems to slow things down. Finally, if you use the rewind function, it will rewind a 400ft reel of film but just barely, as it slows down as the weight of the film on the reel builds. Didn't test the stereo sound, but playing a 400 ft mono sound film I will say the sound was outstanding. Much better sound and sound controls than most projectors.”
