    Excellent for hearing in background noise

    I purchased the Hearphones to help with hearing in crowds, parties, restaurants. I have a medium hearing loss in both ears and wear hearing aids full time. The sound quality is excellent and better than my hearing aids. They work well to focus sound in front of you, making it much easier to hear in room with background noise. There are 3 settings for sound direction. The app is simple to use and controls volume and other features. There are controls on the headphones but they can be hard to use with the headphones on. My main problem is the size of the earbuds. The smallest set (they provide 3 in different sizes) doesn't quite fit in my ear and the buds do fall out at times. I called Bose and they don't have any buds that are smaller. I have very small ear opening so probably will not ...

    Bose Hearphone

    It gets heavy when you are wearing it all day, but the sound is so good I have to buy another one when my old one fell apart, the rubber fell apart in little more than one year it when comes in contact with sweat on the neck. But the sound is better than the hearing aids that I have tried. I wish Bose makes it more durable so I don't have to buy it more often. The battery does last more than a year. So if you need help with hearing, it is still a better than buying those inexpensive hearing aids which does not work too well, just be prepare that the robber does fall apart if you are wearing it in the heat and sweat can ruin the robber.

    Bose Hear phone - Pros and Cons

    1.I feel the whole design is a bit too chunky. Should consider redesigning to make it a lot slimmer. 2.The lines connecting to the earbuds instead of a rather thick black wire, should consider using a thinner type and a color similar the the skin color(less obtrusive). 3. The controls on the line connecting to the right earbud is rather difficult use. It would be a lot better if it is mounted on a line leading down to the chest level. 4. Also, like the Resound ear aid I was using before, instead of having to use the cellphone to adjust the volume and directivity functionalities, consider designing a small remote control device for this use. 5. The "neck loop" tends to "slip around" the neck every so often, and have to be readjusted. Maybe consider incorporating a couple of tiny clips which ...

    Great product if ear plug fits.

    Works great if you can get the ear plugs to fit well. I bought this and was super geeked as it worked well for me. In trying to get this installed for my father, who has lost dexterity, we just can't get the ear plugs situated. We tried the small size of the ear plugs and still have no joy. Considering he wouldn't wear his hearing aids, we are at least no worse off. We will try a kit to make a silicone custom device at home to see if we can get something that he will wear. Otherwise, this will be a bust for my dad.

    Many great features

    I have mild hearing loss in one year, but moderate hearing loss in the other. I use hearing aids when I'm out and about, but they're too uncomfortable to wear all day long. I wear these at home. I use them to listen to podcasts while I'm doing chores. They let outside sounds in, so I can also hear family members if they're trying to get my attention. I like the fact that it's easy to adjust the volume with the app, and direct higher volume to the ear that needs it most. I was glad to be able to buy it at a lower price on ebay, because the full $499 retail price Bose is asking just isn't worth it for me. I don't like to wear these when I'm in public, because it's just too strange having earbuds in both ears. People can interpret it the wrong way.
