When I was a kid, I couldn't afford this engine, and I never saw one outside the catalogue. It always seemed a little too big, but it was cool looking. The chug sound from the engine. I don't know what it would have sounded like in the late 1950's, but it does sound a little like a chuff. Good service and as advertised. I'm happy with this engine. Thanks!
