    Very useful tool

    Perhaps not a professional quality tool, but it works very well for my occasional DIY home auto repair. Wish it came without the funky headphones for less $$. Doesn't everybody have multiple sets of earbuds these days? That's what I used with a mini-plug mono adapter (so you have sound in both ears like their headphones). I suspected a left front bad wheel bearing on our Subaru, and could feel a very, very slight vibration in the coil spring on that side with the car jacked up and the wheel rotated by hand, and no vibration on the other side. Except for the slight difference side to side, I would not thought anything of it. However, I was stunned at the noise difference left to right using the Steelman mics clamped to the coils springs while driving the vehicle. Even at 5mph, a speed where ...

    Pinpoint suspension and driveling issues quickly

    Bought to help identify the source of an annoying hum and vibration in my Tacoma. Connected four leads to both wheel bearings and differential near the CV axles and quickly found the left CV axle was shot. Replacing both at just over 200,000 miles.

    It works for chassis noise

    I was chasing a noise from my front left wheel for over year. With this device I found out that noise is coming from the low control arm bushings in less than 2 minutes. Ordered a new part, replaced and no more clicking noise.
