    D'Addario E73 Mandolin Strings

    I am sure many people will love these strings on their mandolin. I have using the 80/20 bronze in medium and tried these. It really made my mandolin louder But, for my set up, the light strings had some buzz to them. My mandolin likes medium better. It also changed the tone of my mandolin to more tinny, which I really didn't care for. But, i played them for several week. Presently have some medium E74 on it. Buzz went away and tone is still the same as the E73. Some may favor this and I would recommend you try them to see how they work on your mandolin. But, I ordered some 80/20 last night, just because they give me more of the tone I am looking for. Nothing wrong with these strings, just not really what I was looking for.

    I tried the EJ73 strings on the advice of Adam Steffey. I heard him recommend the strings on a YouTube video. They are the best strings I have ever used. I have them on my Kentucky and my Gathright F style mandolins. They sound great and they play great. I have put several sets on for my friends and they all love them. Look I don't have a dog in this hunt I'm just saying do yourself a favor the next time you are changing your strings and try a set! Kent Latch
