No foot plate to get torn up by a Racoon or stepped over so the varmint can grab the bait without setting off the trap. It has a down rod that drops the door when bumped. It has a bait door in the top-rear of the trap that makes it very easy to refill the bait. It has no fragile, galvanized sheet metal parts to get bent and ruined. Trap is made from steel rod and heavy gauge wire and is very sturdy. Prompt shipping.
