It does practically the same job. I find it to be a bit smaller than original but actually more comfortable to hold and play. Plus a 10ft wire. It’s a replica size of an old NES. Keep that in mind. For the price and effort to design it ,I would recommend buying one as a backup. You never when he will discontinue making these. Custom made per order but was fairly quicker than expected to receive.
