I cleaned the surface with alcohol attached the base, let it set for three days and when I attached the control head the mount stayed in place for less than three hours in my garage out of the sunlight. I have removed the adhesive and have ordered a different adhesive which I hope will work better. The mount usually works well on plastics, not so good on vinyl.
