    OEM DVD+/-RW Drive (Philips & Lite-on Model DS-8A5SH)

    This is the OEM DVD+/-RW Drive (Philips & Lite-on Model DS-8A5SH) from an ASUS ROG G74SX. It functions exactly as it is supposed to. My original drive got broken... bent down when the disc-tray was extended. This pre-owned replacement works exactly as the original did... further extending the life of my 11 year old ASUS G74SX.

    Good as new

    When the DVD writer on my wif'e;s laptop failed, I learned that new replacements are no longer available - At least not from ASUS. I bought this used one and installed it. I am happy to say it is as good as the other one was - as it should be.
